Auf dem Boden einer langjährigen Freundschaft und tiefen musikalischen Verbundenheit gründeten Daniel Schmitz (Trompete und Flügelhorn), Oliver Maas (Piano), Jan Oestreich (Kontrabass) und Christian Fischer (Schlagzeug) die Formation Parallaxe.
Schnell kristallisierte sich im Verlauf der intensiven Zusammenarbeit eine authentische emotionale Sprache heraus, der die feste Verwurzelung in der Geschichte des Jazz stets anzuhören ist.
Eigenkompositionen, Spontaneität und intensive Interaktion sind die Basis für die Synthese freier und formal bezogener Improvisationsweisen, in deren Mittelpunkt das Schaffen atmosphärischer Spannungsbögen steht.
Als erste Dokumentation der gemeinsamen Arbeit wurde schließlich im Juni 2005 die (Doppel-)CD "Space" bei MKW Records veröffentlicht.

Sur le sol d’une amitié depuis longtemps et de solidarité musicale profonde, Daniel Schmitz (Trompette et Flügelhorn ), Oliver Maas (Piano), Jan Oestreich (Contrebasse) et Christian Fischer (Batterie) ont établi le group Parallaxe. Au cours d’une coopération intensive, un langage authentique et émotionnelle ce sont cristallisée rapidement , qui laisse reconnaître à l´écoute de la musique la racine de l’histoire du jazz. Les propre compositions, spontanéité et interaction intensive sont la base pour la synthèse, libre ou formelle dans des façons d’improvisations qui relâche une tension atmosphérique dans le centre de la création. Comme première documentation du travail commun, le double CD «Space» a été finalement publié en juin 2005 par MKW enregistrement.

Based on a long-term friendship, and foremost musical unity, Daniel Schmitz (Trumpet and Flügelhorn) Oliver Maas (Piano), Jan Oestreich (Double Bass) and Christian Fischer (Drums) established the group Parallaxe. Fast, authentic and emotional expression crystallizes in the development of a demanding collaboration, with its firm roots in the history of jazz challenges to take note. Original compositions, spontaneity and intensive interaction is the basis for improvisational music that offers exhilarating play. The first public cooperative took place in June 2005 with the release of the double CD “Space” at MKW Records
